But it doesn't change at all? The theme should be installed inside ~/.themes directory and there you need to copy the folder without the version number ("Flat-Remix" and not "Flat-Remix_3.32.2"). Then you also need to install user themes extension and select the theme via gnome-tweaks. If it still doesn't work at all you can mail me daniel@drasite.com and I'll be glad to help you :) - Apr 25 2019

:( you dislike this theme because I don't show here the changelogs? I would understand it if you thought the theme is poor or doesn't look as shown, but because of changelog...?
I used to write the changelog years ago but nobody cared about, so I just stopped, as anyone could see them on github. Now I have to maintain updated several themes for opendesktop, github, my website, arch package, ubuntu package and fedora package by my own with no help. Anyway if you think changelogs are now really becoming relevant I'll start writing them. Just bear in mind that a dislike on opendesktop can be really harmful and I've been working hard for this theme for a long time. - Apr 25 2019

I'd love to create a KDE theme but at the time I don't have enough time :(
I'll try for next month ;) - Mar 31 2019
You can use Flat Remix GNOME darkest https://www.gnome-look.org/p/1013030/
I know it doesn't have red details but I think it's not worth changing the secondary colors as there would be too many variants. Anyway it's pretty easy to modify it so you can send me an email (daniel@drasite.com) or open an issue on github and I'll be glad to help you making this changes for your gnome theme. - Mar 31 2019

Yep, you are right! that's something I wanted to do long time ago. But I have so many things I want to do and so little time I don't know which one to start with. I don't even know how metacity themes work :(
But I promise I'll add it this month, or at least I'll try it.

Yes, but he said he is using Ubuntu, that means he is using GNOME which uses ~/.icons and doesn't need cleaning the cache or rebooting. Anyway I should specify it for KDE users, I forgot that, thanks for reminding me. - Mar 17 2019

Woooow wooow.... Wait a minute! There's no need neither for weird cache cleaning stuf nor to install two themes. It should work right out of the box! So, obviously there's something else wrong.
Iniside the .icons directory, did you place the folder with the version number or the one inside? This is a common mistake as nautilus extracts the files to a folder with the same name as the package.
If it isn't so let me know and I'll be pleased to help you :) - Mar 17 2019

Yes, that's normal. Ubuntu 18.04 uses a previous version of the Nautilus file manager due to the removal of desktop icons in later versions, that's why you can't see the new pathbar. - Mar 10 2019

It's not the theme's fault, it is a known issue from Firefox https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1283086
There you can find how to fix it that still works:
``A partial fix (for Firefox 55 and e10s enabled) is to add new string key to about:config with "widget.content.gtk-theme-override" name and "Adwaita:light" value.`` - Mar 05 2019

Well... The issue with Flat-Remix-Darkest and folders being hidden on focus isn't something I can fix :( it just works like that with so dark colors. About Firefox, I've seen that issue but it doesn't make sense to me why Firefox tries to use gtk theming for HTML inputs, and it even does it so bad... when that same input works perfectly over gtk apps.

Chrome... Chrome doesn't bother about theming HTML content so I really doubt it affects your experience in any way.
So except from that 2 issues I can not fix, I really don't see why you think the theme works so bad, I think it just looks gorgeous! And I've worked really hard for it. - Feb 22 2019

What you are looking for is "dash to panel" extension that you can find here https://extensions.gnome.org/extension/1160/dash-to-panel/
Also you may want to install gnome-tweaks to be able to tune its look as you want :P

About Arch, it has no default shell, when you boot it initially it just runs a terminal. That way you can fully customize it installing whichever desktop and apps you love :)
I'm telling you this because maybe one day you may want to give it a try, it's a bit more complicated but I ensure you it makes you feel you have full control of your PC and OS

I'm a distrohopper anyway :3 so every screenshot I upload is running a different OS - Feb 22 2019

Well, drop shadows in SVG are "simulated", just using a copy of the element in question filled with a transparent dark, and placing it behind. The problem here was that (maybe due to the SVG compression program I used then) that element was moved into a tag, and it's opacity defined with a tag. I didn't notice it at the moment, but kde's SVG interpreter doesn't recognise it. So now I'm redesigning them avoiding this issue. - Feb 10 2019

.... My last commit was made 16 days ago, but if you see the repository the last update was made 17 hours ago. This month I'm working hard on this project so updates are common. If you see that last commit was made 16 days ago is because I'm adding all changes to the previous one with 'git commit amend', as I want to publish this big update as a whole.

If I have an update I will post it here, as I want to provide the latest version here, and the updates I'm posting here aren't precisely small. I prefer spending my time on improving the theme rather than making a changelog that nobody reads. If you want to see the changes you can see them on github.

Anyway, If you release updates every 2 there's no problem, it's fine to provide the latest version. - Feb 10 2019

- Dec 01 2018
