It doesn't work for me :(
After running "make libsolidity.so", I get:
valac --pkg=gmodule-2.0 --pkg=gtk+-3.0 -C solidity.vala
make: valac: Command not found
make: *** [solidity.c] Error 127 - Jul 07 2011

Doesn't that just do colour-schemes, like picking colours that go well together?
I want something that would let me have a custom "base" colour for text boxes, and just be regular for other things.
Thanks, though. - Jul 06 2011

It seems to be harder than you make it sound. I didn't really do the GTK theme, just changed the colours from the HumanLogin theme, so I'm not entirely sure what all that changing the colours entails. I changed the base (text-background) colour, and it looks pretty bad on some applications, and also requires me to make the highlight colour black (which looks awful when selecting stuff with the mouse). - Jul 02 2011

You sure the middle one should be labelled "PC"?
PC is not an OS, technically MacOS and Linux both run on PCs.

Most things are done in 1650x1050, 1920x1200, or 2560x1600 now.
I usually render my wallpapers at most common resolutions and upload a big archive.

I'm guessing it was uploaded as a GTK3 theme because there doesn't appear to be a Gnome-Shell category yet. And both use the GTK3-type code, it's very similar. - May 06 2011

Okay.
Yeah, Unity is crap.
I'm using Gnome-Shell on Fedora 15 on this PC, though I have Mint on another one and Ubuntu with Gnome-Shell and Gnome Classic on a 3rd.
Gnome-Shell is pretty good, but yes, Mint seems to be a lot better than Ubuntu in these later releases. - May 02 2011

If you open the preview, you can see that the shadow goes out over the edge, it cuts off very abruptly. You could make the gradient cut off sooner (make it not go so far); it would look nicer if it didn't cut off like that. - Apr 29 2011

That's a bad attitude. Ubuntu is a form of Linux and uses GNOME.
And it is not MacOS, though it has been getting worse lately. But by saying "for stupid people" you mean that people who spend 2x as much money on an Apple computer aren't stupid, but the people who get an OS for free are?

You can post a comment about how you don't need Ubuntu for it, and that the author should change it, but don't just vote bad because it says Ubuntu. - Apr 23 2011

Hey this looks great, but is there any way I could use it on my 64-bit PC? It says the architecture is i386, in gdebi and won't install. Any way I can recompile it as 64-bit?

that's odd, when you tell it to use another image, the panel buttons go transparent and show the theme's panel background, instead of just going along with what you choose.
So what would you like me to do?
I'm not changing the theme, but I guess I could try to make one for you that works. If I figure out how. - Apr 23 2011

It would be easy to make the panel buttons transparent, just redirect the file paths to a transparent image.
But wouldn't you want any panel buttons? I sure would. - Apr 22 2011

Thanks for your support! :)
Renaming the themes is a good idea, I think I'll do that.
I included the icon theme in the index.theme so that it would show up as its own theme in the Appearance Preferences, and you wouldn't have to go to "customize". If you don't have an icon theme it doesn't show up.
As for the colours, I have tried my best to get them working as well as I can, that's what part of the delay was for. Some programs, like Firefox and Thunderbird may not look right (in the menubars), but I haven't figured out how to fix this.

Thanks again, bud! - Apr 16 2011

The steppers are the up and down arrows on the scrollbars. I mean do you want it with or without the arrows.
It's not that much of a big deal, just recreating the scrollbars at a slightly smaller scale. - Apr 14 2011

I might be able to make one with thinner scrollbars, how thick would you like the scrollbars?

You mean me do an update on the theme?
I don't even really know why it doesn't work in 10.04, so I can't think of anything to fix it other than update the engine to what is needed.
It's only downloading and installing one or two debs anyway ;) - Apr 13 2011
