THIS THEME IS JUST FOR Elementary OS! may work on other DEs, BUT not guaranteed.
Versoin 2.0 works best in ElementaryOS 6 : it's based on default EOS theme.different highlight colors (e.g: Strawberry, Coco,...) are included. it's in Beta version, so some apps (e.g: calculator) may don't have correct theme. if you find bugs, please report to me.
Versoin 1.2 works best in ElementaryOS 5 : it's based on default EOS dark theme and ElementaryX theme, default EOS theme had some problem with dark mode. and ElementaryX had some blueish accent which i didn't like, so i made my own version.
download the file, extract it, and put it in: /usr/share/themes change your theme from: setting > tweaks > GTK+ > Elemactary-Dark
The theme works but if i log off then go back on the desktop, io.elementary theme come back and i have to choose yours in the list.
i placed themes in the folder following what it's show in the description in the tweaks.
I put them in usr/share/themes but it still change when i restart.
I have only this theme actually so yes it happens with your theme, didn't tried another theme yet, i try to solve this problem before to do anything.
in EOS6 beta version everything was fine. I know this theme is not supported by flatpak apps, and EOS 6 is completely on flatpak now. so maybe fixing flatpak issue will fix your problem too. I don't have free time right now and I didn't try final release of EOS 6 yet! but hopefully I will fix all bugs of this theme for EOS 6 very soon.
thanks.
I don't think this is a theme problem, it's all the Desktop setting that have a probem in eos6, even the Fonts i install just come back to original fonts if i restart. So it mean eos6 doesn't record settings i change.
I went back to the elementary os theme, I selected the base cocoa color choice and dark mode (it went back to lime which was originally selected and I was using cocoa elamactary), I then went to select the theme cocoa from your folder and I just restarted my laptop, it kept your theme and the fonts I had installed. Very strange behavior.
put your themes in: /usr/share/themes and make sure those files and folders have admin permissions.
or simply put your themes in: ~/.themes/ without any change in files permissions.
thank you. Actually my theme is kinda personal project, and I don't have any plans to make it work on different DEs. Just Pantheon. But, there is another theme, which, (probably) work on another DEs.

Yeah, I makes sense. I am using Arch and there is a set up tutorial for Pantheon. I tried once but wasn't able to make it work. I will try it sometime in the future.
Geckolinux (based on Open SUSE) completely support Pantheon. few month ago I had tried Pantheon on arch, some component of wing panel was missing. Pantheon is perfect DE. so I think there is movement to make it completely work on other Distros (like arch) as well.

Strange behavior! but is it from my theme? or it happens for any custom theme?
