Description:
A hitman theme I have created to use with GRUB version 1.98+
It is designed to look best in 1024x768 screens, but looks well at 1440x960 too

Install:

Uncompress theme into themes directory (/boot/grub2/themes) and add into /etc/sysconfig/grub GRUB_THEME="/boot/grub2/themes/hitman/theme.txt"

Fedora (and another rpm-based) may build rpm-package with rpmbuild -bb grub2-hitman-theme.spec (spec file is located in tarball)

How to install a grub theme:

  1. Extract the theme to /boot/grub/themes/

  2. Edit /etc/default/grub file. Find the line starting with "#GRUB_THEME" and change it to "GRUB_THEME=/boot/grub/themes/[THEME_FOLDER]/[theme.txt]" (replace [THEME_FOLDER] ; [theme.txt] is probably OK ; remove "[]" brackets)

  3. Run sudo update-grub
