I'm not seeing the colors? Just Black?
Hello! :D The other colors are on the "Files Tab" above, once there you have to click the "11 Archived" blue link below "166465-Maya-Black.tgz". You will have to download them from dropbox using the gray links there, just choose the color you want.

Keep on Theming.
i use cinnamon Desktop. With all updates cursor theme is Maya-Orange64 . i have used dconf editor to change the defallt size cursor icon to 64 . works good but when it is used on Ghoogle Chrome it shows the rite theme as default in icons defalt file. But mouse pointer is a 24px .i like them big on 32in tv at 64px. i have about 15 mouse themes all do the same thing. Do u know why ?
Jerry, I do not use Chrome or Chromium, but I went ahead and installed google-Chrome36.0.1985.143. Set my .Xdefaults or .Xresourses to Xcursor.size: 64 restarted my desktop and opened Chrome, wala a big huge pointer. Then I reset the size to Xcursor.size: 40 Closed Chrome and restarted my desktop Re-opened Chrome Ahh, a mid-large pointer that fits my laptop better. You are using an X11 mouse theme, would not it be better to control it using a X11 conf file rather than using dconf setting? So it seems Chrome is picking up your default X11 mouse settings rather than your desktop settings through dconf. Hope this helps
Dear P Scott, I am using elementaryOS. What's the yours? On the page description, I give a link for those who don't know how install a mouse theme with multisized property. That link is http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php?content=164300 Textually for gnome or Unity: 4- To update the cursor theme and cursor size: Search for and install Dconf Editor in Software Center. 5- Use next Command, changing theme's name and the current cursor size to your custom cursor size xx. Could also use 24, 32, 40, 48 or 56 pixels. gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface cursor-theme ThemeName && gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface cursor-size xx If you wish choose the cursor theme and cursor size, using the Dconf editor graphic interface (GUI), then launch it, an go org-->gnome-->desktop-->interface. 6- Finally, create or edit the ~/.Xresources file using next command: gedit ~/.Xresources Add the following two lines. Change ThemeName and xx to match size defined in previous step: Xcursor.theme: ThemeName Xcursor.size: xx 7- Save, close and reboot. If are using Cinnamon, on point 5 change gnome by cinnamon. That works well for me under Pantheon Desktop Environment, but i don't know under Cinnamon: If anybody proof, I hope for reply. Thanks, Marko Haro.
Looks great. i have Linux Mint, and up to date.Cursor works good on Firefox, and desktop etc. so far.Cursor theme does not work on Google Chrome. All i get is the tiny default cursor.Other than that so far it looks great.Yellow is my favorite color. This is close to that color so Thanke You for sharing your theme. dewman12
There are applications that works only with the default cursor, as Chromium Web Browser and Google Chrome. If you don't make Maya-Orange as default cursor, you always will see the default cursor, and the cursor-size default. In your case, it seems that your default cursor is DMZ-Black with 24 pixels as cursor size. You see the main cursor (the black arrow) , text cursor, grabbing cursor (closedhand) and hand2 cursor (pointing_hand). What do you must do after select Maya-Orange cursor theme with tweak-tools, ubuntu-tweak, or another Desktop Settings Tool? You must edit, as root, the index.theme system file located in /usr/share/icons/default, changing the name present after of "=", sign to theme's name. Use next command: sudo gedit /usr/share/icons/default/index.theme Save, close and reboot. That's all. Thanks for comments, Marko Haro.
default cursor changed but default size is still 24px while using google chrome
Dear Jerry Frazee, Look, I don't have found something to resolve the change of default cursor size in linux Mint. Are you working with Cinnamon Desktop Environment? My recommendation is, for a while, that you download Maya-Orange as Package. If you like the cursor-size 40, by example, then install Maya-Orange40, and you never will have no problems with the default cursor size, because will be 40px. Here is the link: https://www.dropbox.com/s/hdanokeyekisuhs/Maya-OrangeP.tgz When I find the way to do with mouse theme multi sized, I will tell you how to do it. Thanks, Marko Haro.
Jerry, You may find this Arch wiki helpful, Xresources is a user-level configuration dotfile, typically located at ~/.Xresources. It can be used to set X resources, which are configuration parameters for X client applications. https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/x_resources for example here is mine> you can do many more things, but I just set some general guides and do the rest through lxappearance. ! Xft settings --------------------------------------------------------------- !! dpi: 96, 102, 120 and fractional !! easily find the dpi of any screen http://dpi.lv/ or http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dot_pitch Xft.dpi: 112 Xft.antialias: true Xft.rgba: rgb Xft.hinting: full Xft.hintstyle: hintslight Xcursor.size: 40 !! 64,56,48,40,32,24 or 16 pixels please note you will have to restart your desktop enviroment or window manager for these changes to take affect.
Marko, I have been following your development of this pointer theme, each update an wonderful improvement. Just love the nice clean lines and being able to adjust the size. Now all I need is a few different color choices ;) Thanks, for making this pleasant theme. also, thanks for your meticulous care in creating all your themes, as I know for sure each and everyone will work as it should.
P Scott, Thanks for your comments. This pointer theme, was developed and was published differently that all my themes. First with 32 pixel icons and go correcting, adding new sizes, and so on. Also there are the theme for lefties. Color options would be wonderful. If you could give me an idea of those colors I'd appreciate it. Thanks again, and I hope your help, Marko Haro.
Marko, Okay, whipped out gcolor2, a couple of my themes, some screenshots of collected web items, buttons ect. Here is a list of a few color combo's. Some fill and outline may have to be switched, to look right, or maybe, it might be easier to just colorize the whole pointer. I noticed that the pointer, has some transparency so it might be more apparent with some of the lighter colors. A green ? fill color = #798560 outline color = #DAE6C3 A red ? fill color = #AA1C1C outline color = #AD8C50 A sun yellow ? fill color = #FFE888 outline color = #6B635C A perriwinkle ? fill color = #B27CFF outline color = #7D7380 A brown ? fill color = #4D4841 outline color = #C5C5C5 A sky blue ? fill color = #B0C4CD outline color = #4DC4FF Tried to keep the saturation down in most of the fill colors, but really have no idea, how it would look as a pointer theme. Anyway, I will leave that in your expert hands. Again thanks for sharing this theme.
Dear P Scott, After reading your broad idea of colors for this theme, I have decided for now to build this pointer theme using the white color. I will order my ideas to choice the colors most used in these types of issues, as they are: green, orange and blue. I appreciate your ideas of colors proposed by you, and the advice about the icons's transparencies. If you wish to participate in the choice of colors, I will send you a link to download the icons's images, before building it. What do you think? Thank you, Marko Haro.
Sounds good Marko!
Dear P Scott Glad you liked the different colours of the mouse themes. Thanks for reply, Marko Haro.
