Description:
This is a CursorXP theme that I converted to a XFree86 4.2.99-4.3.x cursor theme, using a slightly modified SD2XC by ewindisch.

This theme *does* include the symbolic links that you need to make it work with QT/KDE. Most of the common icons are included.

=============

To Install
-------------------

As root:
Move untarred "innerspace" directory to /usr/share/icons/innerspace

Edit /usr/share/icons/default/index.theme to be:

[Icon Theme]
Inherits=innerspace

OR
-------------------

As user:
Add to ~/.Xdefaults and/or ~/.Xresources the following:

Xcursor.theme: innerspace

Move untarred "innerspace" directory to:
~/.icons/innerspace

==============

These install instructions work for me on Mandrake 9.1 RC1. I am not sure if other distrubtions are following these same configuration locations. Could people using other distributions post your successes or failures at using these locations. It would be nice to be sure this is a standard.

I haven't gotten cursors to work properly yet, but it's really easy to update X, just go to SuSE's website and find the link to their ftp server, not much after that :). The install was somewhat of a pain, until I read the readme...no problems after that. Now if only I could get the cursors to install...

... on SuSE 8.1. The system does not change my default black cursor to your ones. Please, help me ;D

Does Suse 8.1 have Xfree86 4.2.99 or 4.3? If you don't have the nex XFree86 than these cursors will not work for you. smeat!

If you have suse 8.1, you can install apt tools and install XFree86 4.3 via apt-get. Handle the font-mess that this operation generates, then... follow the author's instrucions, but note that Suse uses the (standard) path /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/icons. Actually, my yast has severe problem, and the graphical version is quite unusable (still the text-based one is ok).

The suse readme for XFree86 4.3 says that you should update Qt, with the rpm's provided. That took care of the problem for me.
