Solarized-DarkArk - as hue inspired by Ethan Schoonover - is the highly valued color scheme for code editors and terminal emulators. Delivering GTK, xfwm4, openbox-3, and GNOME-Shell dark-mode-schemes, this GUI-centric theme strictly adheres to Ethan Schoonover's original color scheme, which has been published for many major applications, with some including the scheme pre-installed. Coders and GUI users, alike, know that - once you try Solarized-DarkArc - it is hard to go back to anything else.
In His Own Words:
"Solarized is a sixteen color palette (eight monotones, eight accent colors) designed for use with terminal and gui applications. It has several unique properties. I designed this colorscheme with both precise CIELAB lightness relationships and a refined set of hues based on fixed color wheel relationships. It has been tested extensively in real world use on color calibrated displays (as well as uncalibrated/intentionally miscalibrated displays) and in a variety of lighting conditions." https://ethanschoonover.com/solarized/
The GTK, xfwm4, openbox-3, and GNOME-Shell theme represents a careful blending of Arc, and other well-trusted elements, with an overlay of the original standard Solarized-Dark theming created by Ethan Schoonover.
Manual Installation Is Easy:
1) Extract the ".tar" or ".zip" file into your "~/.themes/" folder - to install for current user only - or into the "/usr/share/themes/" folder - for the theme to be applied globally. 2) Use GNOME Tweaks, Dconf Editor, or an equivalent 'Look & Feel'/configuration app to enable it for your desktop.
If installing manually, make sure to install the dependency: "Murrine theme engine" if you do not already have it; and update your GTK+packages if you have not.
Logging out and then logging back in may be necessary on some operating systems to fully implement themes and icons.

23-11-19: Version 1.1.2
This update changes the color of the shell, overview page-indicators (dots controlling which page on the bottom of overview screen) for all seven Solarized-DarkArc flavors. This enhancement switches the off-white hue: #eee8d5, that previously existed in all seven variants, to the lighter of the two, regular accent colors for each individual theme-flavor. Commit: ab0a4d3

Thunderbird (deb) v115 is not fully supported by DarkArc-Solarized. Is it possible to fix that?
I'm still waiting on whichever of the MZLA Technologies "paid employees" wants to help us with cross-functioning. Their development team are new to us and we have not really gained much rapport with them. The info we got was that "Thunderbird supports a variety of themes for changing its overall look and feel. These packages of CSS and image files can be downloaded via the add-ons website at Mozilla Add-ons."
10 This is "DarkArc" Solarized and you also have "ArcDark" Solarized... They are totally divergent from one another and this one is wholly better (IMHO anyway). Thanks!
10 I saw mentioned this on valyrian, super cool! Thanks!
10 Thanks, I needed this!!
The only minor issue i found is that the background color of menus, pop-up menu and Nemo are the same, making it difficult to distinguish between them. I looked into the theme files for gtk and cinnamon, but I couldn't find out what particular needs to be edited.
I told you that Arc will have less elemental differentiation to work with. Try the Cinnamon version, I just put put up here, it may do what you want.
The Cinnamon version didn't seem to resolve that issue either, but that's not going to persuade me to use some other theme.
I can't thank you enough for this. This is perfect. I think I'll stop theme-hopping now. :-)
