Description: I wanted to try doing a slightly more faithful platinum-like aurorae theme than what we currently have, and this is what I came up with. Unfortunately, aurorae (or any other KWin theme engine, for that matter) doesn't support having a separate title rect, so it's pretty lacking. It would mostly be okay if title halo or even text shadow was supported, but these features are broken in current aurorae (see bug #311919). My solution was to add another ridge to the title so that the text is mostly on top of the texture, which looks a tad bit less jarring than having it over both the smooth and textured sections. The only other thing that I could do, within the limitations of aurorae, would be to have something like the middle 1/3rd of the title bar untextured, but that's a bit too janky for me (If you want to try that, use the file called decoration.title.svg as decoration.svg).
Eventually, I hope to make a colorful version, but I haven't gotten there, yet.
9Really nice to see a recreation of the amazing classic MacOS desktop that doesn't require QTCurve or Kavantum. The title bar lines going through the window title is unfortunate... but I'm hoping to see improvements in the future. Keep up the awesome work!
The problem with global themes is that there are a lot of aspects of the theme that can't easily be changed by the global theme. That being said, I do want to try to create one at some point, as I think a lot of people don't want to change like 6 different themes manually.
For what it's worth though, the themes are out there to get a pretty complete Platinum look and feel at this point.
