I see the April 17 update added support for Elementary OS, but it does not work for me... I unzipped the package so that the Darwin folder was in the .icons folder (and Elementary recognized it in the tweaks control panel), but my system rendered plain rectangles for almost all icons, and applications (including the System Setting app!) would fail to load (as if the icons themselves were corrupt or unusable). Also, I initially had some issues extracting just the Darwin folder from the zip file (but was able to extract the whole thing first, then move the Darwin folder (including its .theme file) to .icons for Elementary to recognize it), so I think it may be an issue with the icons themselves or the .theme file. Looking forward to seeing these in action!
The Elementary OS desktop environment is causing compatibility bugs with icon themes. It doesn't have full compatibility with icon packs and can make you unable to use the system, I wouldn't even recommend installing icon themes on Elementary OS because only themes made especially for Elementary OS will work. In the KDE desktop environment there are problems rendering the theme icons .svg files because KDE's Qt doesn't fully support the SVG format but the problems are not as serious as those of Elementary OS. I didn't mark the theme as Elementary or KDE compatible so I don't know where you saw it.
I saw and downloaded this from gnome-look.org (https://www.gnome-look.org/p/1760151), along with other icon sets, etc. I use that work with the gnome-tweaks system (which Elementary supports). gnome-look.org lists this set as compatible with Elementary, although it didn't until this recent update. I've not had problems using other icon sets, so I figured the update listing Elementary compatibility was a recent update that maybe still had some compatibility issues. No worries! I just wanted t report the possible bug, and I'll keep an eye out for future updates.
