You need to use GRUB as a bootloader.
If you're just using Windows 11 and not dual-booting (two systems on single PC), then it's not for you.

10Enjoying the Distro Grub Themes for Linux Mint. The Grub Customizer would not install the theme, so I placed the mint.tar into /root/distro-grub-themes/themes folder and then updated the /boot/grub/grub.cfg as shown below:

note that the following lines were updated to show the mint grub theme

once those lines were updated, I saved the file, closed the folder and file manager and restarted my laptop to find the "new" Mint Distro Grub Theme greeting me.
10I use this theme exclusively but... I run Arch on a HP OMEN 17. It's a little jarring when I have to restart and see that light blue since everything else is black and red. I tinkered a bit but my background looks absolutely terrible. My personal aesthetics aside a very solid 10 still!
Edit /etc/default/grub file. Find the line starting with "#GRUB_THEME" and change it to "GRUB_THEME=/boot/grub/themes/[THEME_FOLDER]/[theme.txt]" (replace [THEME_FOLDER] ; [theme.txt] is probably OK ; remove "[]" brackets)
