Great latte theme! Most of my latte themes are based on your ideas. A little shoutout to those that have this crash: Are you using wayland? If yes then run it with X11 and take out the virtual task bar and replace it with the minimal switcher. Some widgets don't work and play well with wayland.

jomada

Hello, thanks for reporting, I'm going to update it, other latte widgets that were left without support such as the dock are also having problems.

1 when trying to activate the theme on either latte-dock or latte-dock-git (installed from yay on arch), you get this error: "layout has reported 1 error that you need to repair.(I18N_GAPS_IN_PLACEHOLDER_SEQUENCE)(I18N_EXCESS_ARGUMENTS_SUPPLIED)" by proceeding to examine it, you get """ Error #E103: Different Applets With Same Id In your layout there are two or more applets with same id. Such situation can create crashes, abnormal behavior and data loss when you activate and use this layout. Applets: • Latte Separator [#139] inside Latte Containment [#15] • Vaults [#139] inside System Tray [#13] Possible Solutions: 1. Activate this layout and restart Latte 2. Remove the mentioned applets from your layout 3. Update manually the applets id when the layout is not active 4. Remove this layout totally """ 1.0 worked FINE in a video I watched, but 1.1 somehow does not work for me whatever I try. instructions are pretty unclear on how to fix this. Tried removing the vault and separator lines, and they just reappear after it validates and tells me everything is fine.

jomada

Try removing it manually, open edna.layout.latte found in /.config/latte with a text editor and remove the line that says [Containments][15][Applets][139] immutability=1 plugin=org.kde.latte.separator [Containments][15][Applets][139][Configuration] PreloadWeight=10 [Containments][15][Applets][139][Configuration][ConfigDialog] DialogHeight=480 DialogWidth=640 [Containments][15][Applets][139][Configuration][General] thickMargin=15 then check if you have any line [Containments][13] related to Vaults and remove it, it's weird because Vaults is not in the layout

Fixed the error completely, thanks for clarifying a wider range of lines to delete, I was a bit confused... However... Latte Dock Editor crashes when I try to switch. Yeah, tbh, giving up, but thanks for your help.

for anyone still with this, well, I figured out latte dock only crashes when trying to switch layouts on wayland for some reason. btw I just wanted to say the theme looks great otherwise. : 1:

Hi so I am having an issue where I am trying to install it however latte will just crash. The error log is below, any help would be nice, thank you. Error #E103: Different Applets With Same Id In your layout there are two or more applets with same id. Remove this layout totally

jomada

Hi. Go to Latte configuration, in the layout go to examine, edit layout and delete the lines that contain Latte separator and vaults, save the text and validate the layout changes.

spriigan

1 Simply doesn't work, everytime I use this layout the dock would just crash immediately

jomada

In the Latte configurations, the layout editor does not throw me any errors. Do you have updated widgets?

specter456

Hi, Unfortunately the theme doesn't work for me. The Topbar is overlapping my windows if I maximize it. How can I solve the problem?

jomada

That is not a problem, it is configured so that when a window is maximized the title, menu and buttons appear in the panel adding the description widgets. Window Title Applet - https://www.pling.com/p/1274218 Window AppMenu Applet - https://www.pling.com/p/1274975 Window Buttons Applet - https://store.kde.org/p/1272871/ In the latte panel edit you can change the Visibility option.

jomada

This is how it works when you maximize a window https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j-EPH4kChAc

specter456

Hmm, I installed all this applets. It works for e. g. libre writer or similar application. But for my webbrowser (e. g. Chrome) it does not work. I can not see my opened tabs if I maximize any browser...

specter456

Do you have any idea what I can try to get it work?

reversexx

hi, i tried adding this layout on latte but everytime i selected it, it would just crash and then revert back to the original / last used layout. I've tried uninstalling and re-installing this again and again but I've not been able to fix it. I've also tried installing it from the kde store on the latte app but that didnt work either im on the latest version of manjaro kde if that helps

jomada

Hi, this usually happens when a widget does not work correctly, if you enter the Latte configuration, Layouts editor, errors usually appear

Hey I am having a problem where none of my function keys work when using this layout. I cannot use fn f10 or any function key to do things like volume control or media control. How would I be able to fix this? Thanks in advance.

salad

After some testing I have figured out that this only occurs when I add the widget for cpu usage. Everything works fine if I do not add it. But once I do add it my function keys stop working even if I remove the widget afterward which is pretty weird. The problem is most likely with that one widget and not the latte layout as I have noticed this behavior with other latte layouts.

salad

Sorry for misinformation, it was actually the system tray. When removed the function keys stop working but when added back it works again instantly. I thought this was kind of weird since I have a system tray on a regular panel already.

jomada

Were you able to fix the problem then?

salad

Yes I was able to
