Description:This is a new pack of various colour themes. 9 different colors, in both light and dark variants. That makes 18 new GTK themes. This will change the look of your entire LinuxMint system. These 18 colour variations are all packed into one package. One download, one double-click, and then you can choose some new, fresh colors for your entire system.
This Mint-Yz is a fork from the standard, reliable Mint-Y theme. It is renamed "Mint-Yz" and is a separate package. Your good old Mint-Y will not be removed or changed. You can always switch back and forth from these Mint-Y and Mint-Yz colors and variants.
There is a lot of work into this new Mint-Yz. Over 200 commits. Build onto the latest stable Mint-Y, version 1.9.8. A lot of work got into creating, modifying, and testing those colors over and over again. But that's not only some new, nice colors here. There is much more than that here. There are also many subtle contrasts improvements. Making things more readable, and clearer. And then, there are also some subtle design improvements on top of all this. But not too much. You already like your Mint-Y theme, so this is just a bit different: this little "z" added to "Mint-Y", renaming it "Mint-Yz".

Salut Sébastien. The date shown in the archive is oct. 12 2022, is that correct? Merci!
Salut François. Yes, that is correct. There isn't anything new, i just updated the information displayed here on Pling, that's all. Following your comment, i added the (October 12, 2022) info to the changelog here, to avoid confusion. Please take note that this was probably the last Mint-Yz version. Great stuff, thanks!

9 Do you expect to do a gnome-shell theme sometimes in the future, please? :)
Hmm... I don't know. This Mint-Yz was kind of a "spinoff". I first tried to get these new colors adopted at the "official" Mint-Y, but things weren't moving fast enough there. But it's a lot of work, this Mint-Yz... I would just like my improvements to be applied to the "universal" Mint-Y, and then forget about this Mint-Yz and move on... :)
Understood. Mint doesn’t support the Gnome desktop anyway.
Hi, You can make a clear version of the Mint-Yz toolbar, currently only the Mint-X theme has the option of a light color toolbar!
I'm not the author, but do you mean the bottom panel?
Yes the bottom panel!
The original Mint-Y panel is black. As far as I can tell, the author of this one is just changing the accent colors so they're more intense.
You're right, I hadn't thought about it :(
Hi Mine. I remember you. You are the one who encouraged me to go all the way with bright colors... Thanks. But i have lots of other things to do now. I am not changing this panel background. Sorry. But you could probably do this by yourself? I am not sure, but i guess some direct CSS edit would be easier than running the entire big "standard" process... There is no room for this discussion here. If you really want to put the time and efforts, please re-post your question there: https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=211&t=325471
Hi Sebastjava, Thanks for answering me, I'm glad you remembered me :) I really like your theme, it's a beautiful job that you did. Nice to see that many people came here to know their work and that like me they liked the theme!
"just changing the accent colors so they're more intense." Yes, that is the main purpose, the "z" difference. But i did a bit more than that, as listed above: OTHER DESIGN IMPROVEMENTS...
