NOTE
Due to VLC 3.0.10 bug #24718 that I have reported, videos will not play at correct resolution. The bug seems to be fixed in VLC 3.0.11. VLC 3.0.8 and earlier are unaffected.
I have uploaded RT_Service_FIX_PP.lua that must be installed if running 3.0.10 [bold]in addition to[/bold] RT_Service.lua
Add RT_Service_FIX_PP.lua to
Windows:
User specific install:
%AppData%\vlc\lua\playlist\
System-wide install:
C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\lua\playlist\
Linux:
User specific install:
~/.local/share/vlc/lua/playlist/
System-wide install:
/usr/share/vlc/lua/playlist/
This is only temporary, and as such will be removed once the bug is fixed by VLC.
Installation
Add RT_Service.lua to:
Windows:
User specific install:
%AppData%\vlc\lua\sd\
System-wide install:
C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\lua\sd\
Linux:
User specific install:
~/.local/share/vlc/lua/sd/
System-wide install:
/usr/share/vlc/lua/sd/
If the folders don't exist, create them.
Usage
In VLC playlist view, click RoosterTeeth Video Discovery in the Internet section on the left.
Videos appear grouped by channel ordered newest first. If the video is quite long, it may take a few seconds to play when double clicked. This is due to VLC taking some time to load large m3u8 files.
This plugin loads 1000 of the most recent videos from RoosterTeeth. FIRST only videos aren't shown and do not count toward that limit. Edit the script if you want to change that limit.
