INSTALLATION: - Download file - put the file in the vlc /lua/playlist folder, by default (create directories if they don't exist): * Windows (all users): %ProgramFiles%/VideoLAN/VLC/lua/playlist * Windows (current user): %APPDATA%/vlc/lua/playlist * Linux (all users): /usr/lib/vlc/lua/playlist/ * Linux (current user): ~/.local/share/vlc/lua/playlist/ * Mac OS X (all users): /Applications/VLC.app/Contents/MacOS/share/lua/playlist/
Currently tested only on Linux
USAGE: -Install youtube playlist parser -Install this addon according to the instructions above -Launch VLC -Enable YTSubDownload in VLC's View menu -Enter the languages codes list separated by a comma (or comma and space, as default) and save settings -Open YouTube video according to the YouTube playlist parser's instruction -Subtitles will be automatically added, the first language will be pre-selected. If it's not available, the second language will be selected and so on -If you enable YTSubDownload while you already opened YouTube video, subtitles will be added the same way, but the settings dialog will not be shownLast changelog:

You could use something like: if vlc.io then --use vlc.io stuff since VLC 3.0.2
else
