Description:
Compact variant of my Adwaita-dark-xfwm4 theme. (https://www.opendesktop.org/p/1277456/)
Since you guys asked for it, I've reduced the titlebar size of non-CSD apps by 10 pixels.

It still looks largely consistent with GNOME's default Adwaita-dark theme (v3.30).
This gives CSD and non-CSD apps a fairly uniform look in XFCE.

Border should I think blend into the theme but insteard there is an actual line all the way across. Just would look better I think to actually not see the point the two meet.

That's how GNOME Adwaita is - you can confirm it on GTK3 (CSD) apps. I replicated that theme point-by-point, in order to make it look consistent.

9 + Great theme, I'm using it on my laptop with Adwaita Dark. What I would like to see in the next version are different maximize / "unmaximize" buttons. Now they're the same. But that's not a big issue (and I can modify it myself).

Oh, and I think that corners in "top-left-active.xpm" and "top-right-active.xpm" files need some refinement.

trollpunny

Thanks, glad you liked it! :) The maximize/unmaximize buttons are the same deliberately -- in order to be consistent with the latest GNOME Adwaita-dark. Native GNOME buttons and XFWM buttons won't look the same if I changed that behaviour. About the corners: XFWM doesn't seem to support transparency in XPM files, and that's what is causing the jaggedness. I read somewhere that this can be mitigated by adding another PNG file which will be overlaid on top of XPM, and also supports transparency. I'll look into it and push out a new version with the corners fixed.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I now see that the maximize button is consistent with GTK3 apps that are using CSD. And I'll get used to it, not a big deal. And yes, Xfwm doesn't support transparency unfortunately, but compare "top-left-inactive.xpm" to "top-right-active.png" (zoomed). It seems that "active" corners (left and right) have some additional dark pixels, so just a small refinement would be OK. Since it's very easy to do, I've changed it myself in GIMP on my laptop, so I'm fine, but if you're interested I can send you those files or explain what exactly could be slightly better. Just in case my e-mail is spass (at) linux.pl Cheers!

Compared the two files, and yep, I see what you mean. There's definitely a bit of inconsistency there. If you have the fixed xpm files, would it be possible for you to create a pull request on gitlab? I'll merge it and push out a new version here. Thanks! https://gitlab.com/amitkul2/adwaita-dark-compact-xfwm4/
