Description:Aether is a theme aiming to use sweeping but subtle gradients and "just enough" transparency to illustrate the new blurring of the Plasma Desktop. This theme has extra details visible for 4K users willing to smear their eyeballs on their screens (mainly pencil-thin lines) and also works correctly with standard definition screens.
The icon theme in the screenshots is the Aether Icon theme, found here:

This is my first Plasma theme proper, so in part this is a test to see how far I can currently push the Plasma theme system. Contributions and fixes to the theme are welcome in the Git repo. This is going up a bit "early" so I can begin getting feedback before creating the light version.
KNOWN ISSUES:
- The desktop toolbox container is currently broken looking.
- Some corners on panels aren't blurred properly; may not be noticeable pending on background and settings.
0.0.2a
- Screen-edge glow effect now smooth. (temp fix, may be nicer later)
- Task progress highlights have been redone; now show nicely on all sides of the screen.
- The line edit no longer shows a box-in-box.
- Organization tweaks to the task manager file.

8 I still love this theme but one flaw which is probably due to how old this theme is the notification text stays black and doesn't update accordingly.

When panel is on top edge of screen, inactive tasks have a solid pink background: https://i.imgur.com/HPRUZzC.png

I really love this theme but there's something bothering me. I don't know if it's supposed to be like that, but my icons only taskbar looks kind of broken. I can't seem to know which applications are running because there's no distinction from running applications, minimized or pinned ones (only if I pass the cursor through them). It looks like there's nothing running at all, unless I maximize all of them.
The theme has a small bug. It misses a "shadow-center" element. Without this element plasma framework does not indicate that there is a full shadow element in the svgs. 1. This is the reason you do not see the shadow in plasma system settings. 2. This is the reason Latte Dock can not draw this theme shadow properly for its docks. For its panels there is no problem because kwin uses a different way to draw them.
9 + I really like this theme and I've been a fan of the icon pack of the same name. However, the panel icons aren't that great. Don't get me wrong, they look good, but they don't match the ones included in the icon theme at all, which makes them look out of place. Anyway, looking forward to next releases.

9 +This is by far my favourite theme for KDE. Awesome job and keep it up! :)
Perhaps this could include more? A corresponding splash screen and "Look and Feel" metapackage? This is absolutely gorgeous and I want more!
It's on the roadmap, but I'm aiming to get the general theme and icons sorted and usuable first. :D
