Description: Boot Splash for SuSE Linux Professional ----------------------------------------------
Installation:
Copy a contents of archive to /usr/share/splash/themes (eg. /usr/share/splash/themes/SuSEsplash ) and change /etc/sysconfig/bootsplash to use your freshly created theme.
Then run (as root):
# SuSEconfig --module bootsplash # mk_initrd
If you use lilo for booting, you have to rerun the "lilo" program in order to make lilo recognize your new initrd containing the pictures.

I have unpacked the file in
/usr/share/splash/themes/SuSEsplash
I now have 3 folders in that dir
bootloader
config
images
I ran edited /etc/sysconfig/bootsplash
so it now reads
/etc/bootsplash/themes/SuSEsplash
THEME="bootsplash"
I then ran SuSEconfig and mk_initrd and got the following...
# SuSEconfig --module bootsplash
Starting SuSEconfig, the SuSE Configuration Tool...
Running module bootsplash only
Reading /etc/sysconfig and updating the system...
Module bootsplash does not exist
Finished.
# mk_initrd
Root device: /dev/hda2 (mounted on / as reiserfs)
Module list: reiserfs
Kernel version: 2.4.21-99-default (i386)
Kernel image: /boot/vmlinuz-2.4.21-99-default
Initrd image: /boot/initrd-2.4.21-99-default
Shared libs: none
Modules: kernel/fs/reiserfs/reiserfs.o

hey, the progress bar just dont seem to be working for me, i'm thinking it's something i have installed, but i just cant pinpoint what it is, it jsut loads the regular progression bar, any ideas?
I've found the error ! It was in the Config file of the higher resulution :o)
I've the fixes here ! I can send a email !
Send mails to me and I send the fixed file.

-extract archive to /usr/share/splash/themes/ (should be /usr/share/splash/themes/SuSEsplash)
-edit bootsplash in /etc/sysconfig and change THEME="SuSE" to THEME="SuSEsplash"
- SuSEconfig --module bootsplash
- mk_initrd
- reboot
Should work :)

I've got the same error ! The progress bar does not work ! The new bar is "under" the old. Please Fix it :o) , Nice Theme :o)

Found!! Renamed image originally 1280X1064 in 1280X1024! I didn't noticed it!! Bye!
