The problem is that these are AVIs that have just been renamed to .mpeg - they have mpeg4 streams inside, but mpeg4 was never supposed to go in .mpeg wrappers. That's solely for mpeg and mpeg2. Not that this is actually an .mpeg wrapper, it's an avi.

What style did you use on the demo presenting shadows and windows transparency?
The style is Lipstik.
using mplayer it fails to play them. What should I be using instead to view the videos?
Well i use mplayer and it playes fine im preaty sure is encoded using mpeg4. Maby because its recorded at such a high res 1280x1024? Try xine?
