'cause cats have really good eyes... My guess is, that your cat actually does not see kde-look but the constant refresh cycle of your crt monitor.
For human eyes the refresh rate of a standard crt screen may be sufficient, don't know if it's fast enough for a cat to not see a flickering picture.
Anyway ... i hope nobody else see the whole dust on my table *lol*

But... But Logitech mice have a reflective, translucent bubble-thing! Mine has 2 of them! They've got to count for something. ;)
Visual appeal aside, my Microsoft optical mouse's left button started acting flaky after less than 2 years of use. Hrm.
But ... they got a good warranty-service for their products ... did you tried that ?
I ... i ... i ... really want such a humping, stomping, bubbleing, hyperspacing, radiorecieving and atomical-fueled Logitech Mouse ... where could i get this ?

Also I have such a product. It does its job, and since I took a knive and scratched off the letters, it works even better.
