Yes, save it (select>copy>paste) as a simple text file with lua extension instead of txt. Check some other extensions on this portal for detailed installation instructions on your OS.
Thank you for the reply. I tried that and placed it in:
/Applications/VLC.app/Contents/MacOS/share/lua/extensions
But VLC did not recognize the scripts. They do show up in the menu, just not functional.

I don't understand. I see the script but no download option. Do we copy the script into a text document and add .lua for the extension?
