I like it, its subtle. 18 seconds seems a little long though. Its in the MP3 format, some distros like Redhat strip MP3 out due to patent issues.
How did you make these (this) sound(s)?

I like this startup sound. I don't think it's too long because it's only 18 seconds long. Will you make a complete sound theme?
The sound is good, but, don't you think that 18 seconds every startup is too long?? Wow, i think your system is too slow if your KDE takes that time to start :)
