Description:
This is my goal to create the ultimate aqua theme for gtk combining aqua themes, adding and tweaking. I am seeking seemless integration with KDE. This has been in development for a long time.. most commonly used gtk stock icons have been changed to their crystal counterparts(each one by hand) I had to edit a few so they looked better in certain applications. I have customized by hand(because app did not use stock icons) gaim, epiphany, and galeon.

Next Release(0.3)--in about 2 weeks:
-gaim icon improvement/replacement.
-down arrow fix.
-looking into gftp problem on suse.
-listing all inspirations in the readme.

I have read the "How to Install". What I am unclear about is where do I put the relevant lines?

Dude! Thank you a million times over for this. I love every bit of it. I just have 2 questions: 1) In GNOME how do I install the icon set you've provided with the theme? 2) How do i get this in KDE? Yeah, i like GNOME, but KDE just seems to suit my needs better at the moment. I went to the 'how to install' page and it said that you can 'import a GTK theme' thru the Kontrol Center, but i think that was in kde 3.0. I use 3.1 and can't find that button anywhere!

Hey :) I'm glad you like my theme. To answer your questions.. the icon theme that I am using I kinda put together myself from the kde crystal icons(I had to take the crystal icons and rename them accordingly to their gtk equivalents.) I can post that up, but it is very incomplete. I did hear that they are a few people working together(with everlado?, not sure).. porting crystal completely to gnome. I'll put up my incomplete one(the link in the next release) if you would like to download it. As for the gtk in kde.. well I don't really know how to do it another way but.. i have been doing it by just running gnome-theme-manager when i boot up, and it automatically loads the theme(so open it and close it). Hope that helps. There are a few enhancements that I am working on currently, so wait for the next release :).

I just downloaded and installed AquaMarine and I believe one of the best themes out there. I'm running SuSE 9.0 and it's awsome with the SuSE window border. Great job! Keep it up.

where is the KDE or Qt theme? :) That is, how, I'd suppose you get seemless integration with KDE.

There are a bunch of aqua related themes here, which would match well. Although I am planning on making this exact theme for kde eventually.. once I learn well enough about kde theme process.

i like it. But one thing could u change the colour of the close button of the title bar to red. The blue really looks out of place there. Other than that no gripes. Thanks for the great theme.

artur

hehehe thanks! I will change it and update soon.
