well, i compiled the source right now on my 32bit linux system and the menubar is visible.
which version of qt,g++ did you use?
where did you download the source? from qt-apps or sourceforge?
I downloaded the source from here. I compiled against 4.7.3. I'm thinking that it might be a vm issue...as the only 32 bit system available to me right now is running on a vm...the vm system is Mint 10.

Hello awesome application... however I do have one problem when used on a 32 bit linux system...menubar is not visible???
