Description: QOwnNotes is the notepad for Linux, Mac OS X and Windows (it's written in C++/Qt), that works together with the notes application of ownCloud.
You own your own notes! All notes are stored as text files on your desktop computer. Share them over devices (desktop & mobile) Use ownCloud Notes to edit your notes in the web
So you are able to write down your thoughts with QOwnNotes and edit or search for them later from your mobile device (like with CloudNotes) or the ownCloud web-service. Youll find binaries on the project webpage: http://www.qownnotes.org/
The notes are stored as plain text files and are synced with ownClouds file sync functionality.
I like the concept of having notes accessible in plain text files, like it is done in the ownCloud notes app, but I was not able to find a decent desktop note taking tool or a text editor, that handles them well. Out of this need QOwnNotes was born.
Please leave me a comment and tell me how you like QOwnNotes or write me your suggestions.Last changelog:

OK, I understand
I use the Notes Feature in owncloud in an other way, so it is not usefully to change the "automatic change of the file name" for normal usage.
No, but I'm considering to switch to QOwnNotes.
But at the moment I sync the notes folder with "ownCloud" in Kubuntu and "foldersync" on Android. And I use the notes as simple text files without the file name change feature that is implemented on the ownCloud server:
I edit the files directly in the text editor in Ubuntu and in Android with "Papyrus Ex" or "Denkzettel für .txt-Notizen".

Is it possible to deactivate the automatic change of the file name, if initial word in a note has changed?
Sorry, that's not possible right now. This behavior is dictated by ownCloud notes and because of that also implemented in QOwnNotes.

You mean you are not using ownCloud notes together with QOwnNotes?

Taking notes in markdown format is a nice thing. ;)
Changing the note filenames manually works now... ;)
