I have not tried Real media files so please leave a note if you will try. You don't need deb package, just extract the archive and run the Transcoder executable. The archive contains both source codes and binaries for FFMpeg and Transcoder.

Thanks for your reply. I tried to convert rm & rmvb to mp3's and it worked great ;) but when trying to convert mp4 to mp3 it fails. Best regards

Rename your file to any name with ANSI symbols and Transcoder will convert it, I guess GTK+ has problems with some non ANSI symbols
But when i convert the same file using "Sound converter 1.4.4" there is no such problem, doesn't it use GTK+ also.
