You probably made a mistake. This place is for KDE application. For Qt apps. is http://www.qt-apps.org/

Hello, does bsc support hidden file views ? Thks and Regards hds1

piotrpsz

Yes, second button from left on toolbar.

Hello, thanks for this great swiss army knife bsc tool. Some features seems not working in 4.0.0.7beta - FTP connection - Dir comparison - Dir sync - Modification date - Language selection Installing the binary tarball in ~/beesoft/bsc and creating a link to bsc executable on the KDE Desktop. They do work in the 2.27 release. I'am using Kubuntu 8.04. Wishlist: File selection with Shift-Arrow / Ctrl-Arrow as in DOLPHIN or WinCommander alike. Thanks again for this great proggi. hds1

Hi :) I know that many functions are not implemented. I translate previous bsc (that was in Qt 3.x) to new version (Qt 4.x). Finally I should implement all functions.

Hi Pjotr, Looks promising, but do you plan to add a command-line and make it possible to see the output (like in mc)? I'd like to use Ctrl+Enter to paste filenames from the panel into the command line, and after executing a command, be able to hit Ctrl+O to see the output. Scrollback buffer for stdout/stderr output, that's all I want. For a long time I'm trying to find a Linux equivalent of FAR Manager on Windows (or a graphical equivalent of mc if you like), until now without success. Gnome Commander comes close, but it doesn't show the output (stdout) of commands. Perhaps your baby can become what I need.

And another suggestion. It would be nice if the following would be added to the preferences/ settings of beesoft. When copying or moving files ownership is changed to the current user. Most of the time copying or moving files ownership should not change (the -p parameter of the cp command). When I use beesoft as root and move files of my normal user then these files automatically become owned by root. This is not wanted most of the time. Add a choice in preferences/ settings how ownership during copying of files should work by default.

I really like your tool, vielen dank. Tho we are still missing the link between clicking a file and then automatically starting the default application for that file (for instance mp3). Maybe in a next release then ?

lightwarrior

Oh and btw, your forum on your site is down (the link doesn't work).

piotrpsz

Yes, I know. Was too many spam. piotr

Thanks. One extra suggestion. It would be handy to change the function of the F6 key (Rename) into Move. Moving files is something which happens a lot more then renaming IMO. Yes I know you can remove the source files with the copy command, but tools like this are made for fast file-handling. Moving them with F5 is not a very fast method.

A small bug. If you choose media/cdrom or media/floppy and nothing is present in these drives then beesoft doesn't time out and it needs to be killed and restarted.

Hey great tool, finally I've found what was looking for ;-) But there's a question: how can I setup file associations? Double clicking on a mp3 file for instance does not start xmms. Best regards

piotrpsz

:) application starting should be implemented in next version. piotr

Piotr, mogę tylko podziękować bo to kawał dobrej roboty. Jesteś przykładem na to, że Open Source to potężne narzędzia robione z sercem i dbałością o każdy szczegół. Jeszcze raz dziękuję.

Great performance, great visual design. Installation is not clear. My suggestion add INSTALL.txt file to explain the simple install operation. Whishlist: Add fast directory access buttons for ~, .., = (same dir as opposite panel) Add terminal button Add "calculate size" for dirs.
