Description: kmhtConvert is a utility to convert mht (Windows Web Archive) files to war (KDE Web Archive) files.
I decided to write this utility because for a number of years I have been using Windows (who hasn't) and was used to saving data acquired from the net in mht files. Since I started using Linux, if I wanted to read or use these files, I had to load Windows and extract the file(s). The same thing also happened when friends send me mht files by email.
I have been looking for a solution to this problem, but now that I can write code in Linux, you know...

Do you have Mandrake 10.1 rpms for version 0.6 so I can try it out and see how it is going?!
BTW, nice to see you can "browse" inside a mhtml's pictures (and other files I think). That's just a guess from your last screenshot ;)

I've tried it and it worked flawlessly and very fast indeed.
I normaly use it just to see my .mhtml files on Konqueror so I usually select "View file after extraction" and "/tmp" as the output folder. I would find it more usefull that the "View file after extraction" would automatically pick "/tmp" as the default output folder, or at least remember the last used folder.
Thanx again for this great utility and keep it up.
i was searching for a solution for this problem, since my wife was a windows user (using kurumin now), and although i warned her not to use the mht extensions to sabe webbpages, she always did it, so now that she is using linux, she was complaining about this).
this will be another reason for her not to switch back :)

Its function will be just like just like kio_tar, the ioslave for tar files (and tar.* and war files for that matter).
It will be as discribed in the README, plus the mht files will be opened when double-clicked in konqueror.

What about integrating it to Konqueror?
Because, from usability point of view, importers are not well usable (lot of work for every files, even if they can be batched).
A native viewer (like the mht thing) is better and mor etransparent to the user (and when you receive .mht by mail you just have to open it).

Please report any bugs you find while using it (crushes, images not showing in prduced MHTs, etc)

No, no Mandrake RPMs here. Sorry. I'm on Suse 9.2 These RPMs are created by Marco Meijer who is kind enough to provide the links I use here.

It's very nice to see the improvements, especially the ability to integrate mhtml into Konqueror itself (thru kio_slave). Keep up the good work!

You can also use the maf addon for mozilla, so you can see mht with mozilla (this is just another idea) good job
Sure you can. If it intergrates to konqueror it is an alternative. It's always nice to have one :)

as i know, MAF plugin for firefox can do the same work as yours.
