Thank you for this great list! We recently launched TiltZero, a social bookmarking site and devoting most of our time, making it better. You can check it out at http://www.tiltzero.com/ and if you like it, add it to the list in the article. Thank you in advance! Vicky

I have found esvn 0.6.11 useful, but I am not able to configure the same in local network. I do not have server within my local network, the network runs through Switch basically identical to peer to peer. Can I configure esvn in such system? if yes how can I do that?

Hi! Thanks for eSvn -- I really love it! I just upgrade my subversion server and my subversion client from version 1.2.3 to 1.4. But now eSvn (version 0.6.11, SuSE RPM) does not properly work any more on my SuSE Linux 10.0 box (all files have status "unknown"). I thought that it might help to compile from source, but neither the stable version 0.6.11 nor trunk compiles on my computer. There are tons of error mesages, the first one is "src/mainwindow.h:29:22: error: frm_main.h: Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden" (~ did not find file or folder). How can I make this great app work again? Thanks, Arne

Now I works! :-) After checking out the latest (trunk) version from http://esvn.umputun.com/repos/trunk and removing all qt 4.x (rpm) packages, it compiled without any pronlems. Arne

I'm sorry, I'm having the same problem, all files are seen as "unversioned", due to the working copy format change of Subversion 1.4.. Did eSVN 0.7.0 (trunk) solve that for you? I tried it but it's even worse, now just some directories are recognised :/ (from the same checkout)

8 hours of debugging and tracing, but I finally got it *_* It's a conversion problem.. eSVN needs Subversion to use the en_US locale (for the parsing) but it fails to check the LC_ALL environment setting.. I'll ask the eSVN developer if he'd accept the patch..

I am currently migrating my company's product line from CVS to SVN, eSVN is helping very much in the process.

Hi, I find esvn quite useful. Thanks! I'm using svn to manage files such as documents on different computers. But because the repository is quite big, I like to check out just the files I need at the moment, for example on my laptop. The browse repository feature is very nice for this. But ... even nicer would be to have the option of the entire repository appearing in the main window (maybe with all the not-check-out files and folders appearing transparent). Clicking on such a file would check it out. That would be really cool!!! Also, an option to delete just the local copy of a file would be needed. Anyways, just a suggestions. :-) Cheers

Great App! Are there any plans to port eSVN over to using the the KDE framework? It would be nice to have the filechooser and ioslave functionality... If it was, it could also one day be included as a kpart in konqueror. Cervisia (w/ svn) is ok, but this is a much better app in many respects. Just a thought, keep up the good work!

Hey, eSvn is really a great app. Thanks a lot! I think I'll switch from the command line to eSvn. It would be great if the option "Hide unknown files" could be accessed much quicker, e.g. in the view toolbar like "Flat view". Thanks, Arne

umputun

Thanks, You have "Hide unknown files" in View menu and it's quick for me (two mouse clicks only or ALT-H). Anyway, I will add this button to "View" toolbar in the next version

arnehe

Oh, I overlooked the "Hide unknown files" option in the View menu. This is great and it is even greater that you plan to put this option in the view toolbar. Thanks, Arne

Bonkie

download still points to 0.5.5

umputun

oops, sorry :( The link (to the tar.gz file) was fixed

Are there any plans to integrate to eSvn and cervisia? There seems to be a high demand to have subversion support in cervisia, see http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=78153 which has 491 votes by now.

umputun

No, I have no plans to integrate eSvn to cervisia. I don't really see what kind of "integration" is possible here. eSvn and cervisia are two different systems with different UI and different concepts.

Bonkie

Cervisia people are working on subversion support, although its in CVS only by now

oliverthered

I think they should be trying to do tourtiseCVS/SVN type intergration, and use Konq as the file browser. Some work would be required for konq to support this type of plugin though.

liucougar

Thanks for your app I just think it would be good if you can setup up a public CVS server Maybe you want to register it in sourceforge.net first.

umputun

Yuo can access to eSvn's subversion repository - svn://esvn.umputun.com/esvn If you want to track eSvn for new versions you can use http://freshmeat.net/projects/esvn/

liucougar

Sorry, I meant svn not cvs, you know ;) thanks BTW: it seems to me that you haven't updated the freshmeat info which stays in version 0.5.0

furgas

I can't import anything to existing repository. eSvn won't use contents of "Message" field - svn will try to execute text editor instead of using -m parameter.

umputun

yes, It's a bug :( I have fixed it, and the new build will be avaliable a soon from http://esvn.umputun.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=2
