This was mentioned before and since there was no reply, i just hacked it (ie the code exists somewhere

Unfortunately, I was used with photoshop and after messing around with gimp for a while (trying to reproduce the colors in the lovely "mounted" green arrows in crystal), i gave up @ about 3 am and did some shortcut-like icons. If anyone can supply (crystalized) arrows (around 8x8 size)...

Cheers,
Laur

are you a main-developer of the kicker ? :) if so, i have got some requests about the use of the kicker-background.. the clock for example, it doesn't use the background from the kicker. i think, it looks not perfekt. the Clock's background should be similar handled as the Date (it already does it right). and where/how do you provide a patch? i mean, rpm would be fine, because, setting up a correct development environment to re-compile the kde-rpm-package that includes the kicker may be difficult. thanks
a RPM is a bit difficult because the changed bits are parts of kdebase. anyway, ther way it is now, if you don't have the appropriate images, it draws the old dull black arrows. I'm not maintainer/developer on kicker (not yet anyway), but if people agree, i'd like to see it making 3.1 :) As for the clock plug-in, i'm sure the developers thought on allowing the kicker background before. Think along "background tiles" and strange (ie complicated) background image... :)
what is this for a windowdeco? and YES the kicker looks beatyfull
The window decoration is the default suse 8.1.
really wonderful! i hate the fat black arrows in the kicker and the K-Menu.. Your arrows are definitely cool. how can we get/install that ?? thanks
Does it also handle other arrow positions as well? For instance, I have the main kicker panel on the left side of the screen, so the arrow point right, and then a child panel at the top, so any arrows there would point down. In any case, tell us more!
it does. I've changed it to be position idependent. aka just draws custom images instead of black arrows. Ive finished the preliminary code @ 3am this morning so there are still a few hardcoded bits. I'll have it polished today or tomorrow and then i'll make a patch.
