I am a FreeBSD user but the default libfreetype.so renders fonts very poorly in my opinion. One of the first things I do on my FreeBSD installs is to copy over a properly configured FreeType2.
Yeah i know. Fonts on Nix in general needs work, just as much as web browsers on Nix. Just have to wait till they get it right. Hey it's open source, you get what you pay for. I've seen some of your screenshots. Your fonts aren't that appealing aswell, just face it, fonts and web browsers on Nix sux. for now :)
