i have ananced this panel-config-bug by the ex-programmer from kde who is now as
packer in Mandriva befor 2/3 Month
and have wrote more as 4 Mails to
Laurent Montel and had tell him this bug... ... by kde-version 2.5.0-X or
so.. no, was 2.4.99 or so.. and.. nothing.. no bugfix... and now.. i had
wrote Laurent , i think about if i posting this bug in kde-look.. and..
2-4 weeks later now.. no bugfix.. and kant configuring my panel.. grrr..
oky,now i wrote it in KDE-Look for other peoples.... the other Distry's dont have this loooong, looong bug, only Mandriva.. and now my question,
were is the Fail ? by the Programmers, Bugfixer in Mandriva or by My as Dau,
User who use Mandriva and mus i use now a other Distriebution ... PCLinuxOS ??? or so ???
He, Mandriva, this is lame and suckts !!!

I use Mandriva and in mandriva dont exist this dialog in the 2 blue-window-screenschoot----the blue Window is from Moti, the Green Window's be from Mandriva-Cooker what i use... humm.. and now, dont exist any Panel-config..
Now is the 2006.5.28.... humm..and this bug exist..the panelconfig is gone...no change to configuration the KPanel.. i have new installed with kdebase-x.x.20 let me make a blog *bg*
Be by installing.. i have see that not more mdk-rpm be now with the Mandriva-relays-2.007.0-0.3mdv is comming the name mdv-rpm's, also, not more mdk it's now mdv (how the german old gameproduser*g*) oky, letz gaming *lol* i dont see new rpms, kdebase-packets for fixing the bug/s.. but, i see one bug more.. no Monitor-config more.. tzz..... in Kcontrol too... It's correcktly, in cooker can be bug's but so hard bugs in Gui dont mus be..or not ?
Ah ja, the next Bug what i see befor was the kdebug.. the initlog.. there be a warning and paused the boot for 30 sec. this text say the initlog is rater old and be in the next relayse not more.. and now.. the next relays is there.. and the "bug"/paused Text is there anyway *lol*
p.s.: get this artikle more good points to show in the listings..

Hy, it is clear, no munny, no fun.. but, i dont say anywhat about the newest Xorg and nvidiadrivers, i now, it's not only a Mandriva Prob :) Mandriva, Cooker, why not make a open forum for all the Cookerusers who can tell ideas and free help for ideas to developer, users for users and developer who now what is it the stand. It makes me happy very a feedback to get from you are :)) Mandriva Club... bah, free software for free peoples, or what tell Linus ? Free Soft is better than Sex? It's correckt ! and why not free words for users to know that at the time and what the probs.. open it and make a free Forum for Cooker"Testers" and Develoment as an interface for each other .... to know what's the problems and get ideas direckt to developer... to make it better and get mutual assistance and help... no, it's all under it is everything under the veil "Mandriva Club" and all mus register.. bah, i dont like spam or advertisement... no, i be a User who use the newest software and it is good, very good, only the Bug be bad.. Make it more opened and a forum opens, there saves one also money, one needs also not the inventors there to then dismiss (you now what i mean...) is wide open to all for download, its free, it has many of the latest KDE and other apps, its very powerfully configurable, comes with all the productiity, internet and development tools you may ever need. Therein lies a great a strength and a great weakness. Cooker is really for development and testing and not a support forum. Sometimes the Panel wont work for Cooker or xorg even wont start but that is exactly what Cooker is for -- to fix and stabilize bleeding-edge apps; welcome to the game if you dont mind a few knee scrapes. Mandriva hires a large and talented group of people to develop and produce its distro and no one bank-rolls them, but these people have families and bills too. It is no disprespect asking you to buy support, go to community forums, submit patches, search the knowledgebase etc. If -- if you had paid for Mandriva Cooker and were not getting support it would be understandable if that made you angry but making a public display here is really not helpful to you or anyone else.
have you all no compassion? give Blacky a break please, (s)he seems to be struggling with english already. =( in Mandriva, the 'Panel Background' customisation section doesn't exist/appear. this is the problem yes? what (s)he has been asking is who does this fault lie with? is this a choice by Mandriva, or is it a bug with their binaries? or somewhere/someone else? or missing a package? All Blacky is asking for is a fully configurable KDE... not much to ask? (considering everyone else is able to get a fully configurable KDE...) in regards to the problem, not sure what is best to do. have you found other madriva users with this problem? try google to see if it's common or not. (if you haven't already...) if you can't find anyone else out there, then it's probably something to do with your own installation of mandriva. hope this can be solved soon...
I dont know if this could be the error... In the Screeny you give as Path /home/moty/kde/... But normally User-Configs is stored to /home/moty/.kde/... Your kde-config-dir is hidden (see the "dot"... The Path to your image indicates it schould be so (kde/share/...) Try to edit the path and post the result... Or did you chose it via the file-choser???

i really don't understand your problem.. i can say that the panel works..but i don't know about this problem because i have never seen mandriva looks like..
harhar, you dont have this problem, you can custom you panel, but in mandriva cant custom this panel.. pease Blacky
