Cool!!! Keep your work and finish it!!! I would like to see this finished!!!! SVG allows the icon to be redimensioned whithout lose any details??????? Thanks!!!!

Yes, SVG allows you to resize icons easily. So, you can get 192x192 or even 256x256 icons from the same SVG file (but you would need 1900x1400 display to make such icons usable). There is one issue, though: resizing to small sizes. This make extremly dificult to create 16x16 and 22x22 icons (sizes) out commmon SVG file. Solution is to make another outline (SVG drawing) which wouldn't have as many details and would scale better to low-res pixmap. That's what I basically did for BlusSpehere-0.3.0 release (for KMailicons, and to some other navigation/"action" icons) What does it mean, in terms of efforts? That you (ah, me :-) would have to create 1600 icons, instead of 800 presented in KDE at a moment. I would highly appreciate if people from KDE (and GNOME) Community would join me in this (rather difficult and time-consuming)task, and help me to get work done. As I said in release notes, my plan is to have one unified icon theme for KDE and GNOME (common icon theme format has been approved recently on XDG), and for other environments/desktops as well. Of course, this won't happen in day or two, but we should work in that direction. Kind Regards, Vadim Plessky

What is XDG? Thanks for the nice work, too.

Hello All, First of all, I'd like to thank Kris Meeusen for adding info about BlueSphere SVG Icons on kde-look.org. I was so busy with updating those icons, that I forgot to do it myself.:-) Few comments: Home page for BlueSphere icons is http://svgicons.sourceforge.net/ Announcements of new releases are done via SourceForge, and at Freshmeat: http://freshmeat.net/projects/svg-icons/ Latest release (0.3.0) notes: http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?forum_id=231551 There is also a project page at apps.kde.com: http://apps.kde.com/nf/2/info/vid/8164 Mailing lists: Developmnet of SVG icons (users a re also welcome!) I would appreciate your comments sent to this mailing list, or to me privatly. But as I strongly back Open-Source development - let's keep all discussions public & archieved, ok?.. :-) Best Regards, Vadim Plessky Author of BlueSphere SVG icons
