only desktop/file mgr do animations. Kicker, menus and everything else don't. Furthermore there don't seem to be any good tools to create mng files in linux. I'll have to give up on this idea for now. i envisioned creating a whole destkop experience :-/ Theme + background + animated icons.
You could try to install ImageMagick, it can handle almost any image format (including PNG/MNG) and with the convert tool you can also create animations (type 'man convert' for more information)

Ummm...Shouldn't these icons be considered Marble icons and not Crystal?
I meant crystal as incased in a crystal, not as in everaldo's great crystal icon themes (which aren't encased in crystals :)
Perhaps you could consider making a xine icon, I haven't been able to find one at all. Otherwise, tnx for a great icon set! :)

Does anyone know if kde supports animated icons? is there any info on this online? maybe like rollover js icons?
KDE 3.0 supports animated icons in .mng format. Try searching through the kde mailing list archives. You can find some info there.

so animated buttons too. also on the wm like glow.
Very nice work. If you have some more time, I'd really appreciate an XChat Icon ;-)
