This is a mistake many seem to make, which is a little worrying to be honest!
hopefully in highlighting your 'problem' you will aid other is realising there is no problem!!
Elmo is a designer (and i must say i think a very talented one... good Theme Elmo) and not a coder- so this is not a working theme YET!! Bradenm is a coder and is working on making Elmo's design a reality (Good luck... i only wish i knew how to do it!) watch this space hopefully sometime reletively soon Bradenm will have an offering for us!
This is very, very nice. I'd use it. It would be very nice if someone could provide a Gtk/Gnome equivalent, too -- for the sake of a consistent L'n'F between apps. Have you shown off Elmo on http://art.gnome.org ?
Great stuff!
Oh, and elmo, by the way, is that window decoration fake too? I know the style portion (boxes, bars, etc.) are, but is that window decoration? If not, can you tell me where to get it?
I'm confused, I've always been confused about this whole elmo thing. If it's not a style/theme, what the hell is it and what are we supposed to do with it ? How do we use it ? It looks nice though...
read what i've written first, then all should be clear (-;
As I am not a coder but like designing - yet there are people who are coders but not necessarily designers, I thought it would be profitable for me to put up my design ideas for a nice clean gui, in the hope that someone would code it!
Thats very sweet. I love how it neither like windoze nor mac. somehting great and original for linux. it would be very nice to have a working theme of it. id help, but i dont code, sorry.
applicable but

this was about designing clean ui Since elmo seems to aim towards a very clean look, thought this might help.
And before anyone asks NO i am not trying to support gnome. I am strictly neutral.
and ok this probably goes against what i posted above but what about the option of transparent dot net style menus :)
You know, I think you'l live if you said that you supported GNOME. You gave up all claim like KDE infiltrates would sprout up in your living room and storm the house because you were caught using GTK application.
I will take a look at what is necessary to code something like this. I really like how it looks.
I would change: The menubar selected items at the top should look like your tabs; and the buttons look xpish. Also, the scrollbars need some work.
Other than that, really good looking!
All right, I liked this style so much that I've started coding it.
I'll warn you ; I'm not the world's best coder, but I'll give it my best. As soon as I've got something that looks close to the screenshot, I'll post it, or email it to you.
I also have a few ideas for changes; when I finish the mockup I'll email it to you, and see what you think.
I'm developer and i'm working very hard to become Elmo a working theme for KDE, the real problem is that i'm not a KDE developer and i hadn't found a good documentation in how to make KDE themes, but for now i was based my work in the good dotNET style, i'll publish a screenshot of my current work later.

all fake i'm afraid, although i do prefer to call it design, rather than fake (-;
I'll have to see if I can do an IceWM window decoaration of it.
I like it. Looks pretty nice. Nice job, elmo, and good look coding it bradenm!
I don't like the minimize/max/close buttons but the rest is great.
