a blank line there, unless it would be the last line! (important!))
File: $HOME/.splashycreator.rc
Content:
line 5: Where to save themes
line 6: Wether to calcute image size*
Example:
/home/chris/SplashyCreator/
- (=no) or + (=yes)
* SplashyCreator older than 3.0 did not calculate the size
* this allowed you, to use the same width/height in percent
* values for textbox/progressbar for all themes.
* If SplashyCreator calculates the size of an image,
* the width/height for those parts depend on the imagesize in pixels
* and are therefore different for each theme. If you prefer
* the old behaviour, put a - in the 6th line, else leave blank
* or put a + in the 6th line

It seems to just not start. I tried to open it in a terminal, but there is no output.
did you run configure to check if you have all deps installed?
Can you make it more graphically? Not all people kwnos what is X, Y and the colours in RGB, etc.
Beta1 will (hopefully) ship color-selections, for easier RGBA setting. But how shall I make the x/y position more graphical/easier to adjust? - I got no clue.
Really, it´s a very good work. I´m searching splashy themes but this is much better. Congratulaions!!
Getting => Error: Dependency is not satisfiable: libsplashy1 I'm on Feisty.
I can't do anything, if Splashy is not availabe for Ubuntu. Splashy is used to draw Bootsplashes, Ubuntu has USplash instead. If you have Ubuntu with Splashy, why don't you grab the tarball and install manually instead?
