Description: Uploaded due to an overwhelming popular demand, I'm very flattered. Barely any of this coding reflects my own work i can only really take credit for the layout and design. Features...
-Analogue Clock -Basic system information -Storage information -Network information -Weather -Gmail -News -Music & Lyrics
In order to upload all my conky config took quite alot of sorting and compiling. Consequently i am anticipating some oversights so please remain patient if everything does not work straight away and please inform me of any errors/problems.
::Sources:: Too numerous to list all but the 2 main sources are...
-Analogue clock courtesy of T-Mo, great guy for more see here... http://conky.linux-hardcore.com/?page_id=581
I've tried editing my .conkyForecast.config file to use Imperial units, but I'm still seeing C... Any ideas? (of course, I'm still looking online for the answer too)
I added --imperial after every --location and it now seems to give me my imperial units. :-) Kinda clunky tho - you can't just set imperial to true in the conkyForecast.config file. If you set the URL to end in "i" instead of "m", your temps get all messed up.
Go figure.
Me too.
One thing to note - the OpenFont font file was not included. (this is the font used for the Kernel line) It was easily found at DaFont.com tho.
This is great work, keep it up!
Your Welcome the clocks are part of a separate conky file that if you dont want you just don't need to use. You may just want to re-adjust the height of the first conkyrc file if this is the case.
It is truly amazing- Thumbs WAY up on this one.. and even I got it to work properly with my very limited Linux knowledge using your well-made readme. but yes as for the clock, how can I change it to another style? if i cant, please kindly show me how to move the "system" section up so that its equal hight with the "weather" thanks.
Sorry for the double post but I was fooling and I got it to do what I want.. One last thing though, How can I change the news to a Canadian for me eh? THANKS!
No problem, yes unfortunately you can't really change the style of this clock only the colours due to it being created by a font. There are however other clock styles available that you should be able to find here...

as for changing the news to canadian you will have to find an Rss feed that displays Canadian news and then substitute in the correct addresses into the code. If you need any help doing this, provided you can find a Canadian news site that has an RSS feed (any major site should have one) i would be happy to tailor a file to your specification.
yes the clock, I love the ubuntu clock but it looks out of place on mint wallpaper with the mint logo in the center, come to think of it I will now dump the mint wallpaper and keep the ubuntu clock, also james, please check your Charcoal (SlicknesS Remix) page where I've posted a couple of questions. Conky instructions are fine by the way.
