Description:
These icons are derived from the work of Martins Bruvelis, see
http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/?content=113148

To use them, copy chosen icons to the /usr/share/pixmaps/cpufreq-applet/
directory.
On the commandline

> sudo cp cpufreq-* /usr/share/pixmaps/cpufreq-applet/

Afterwards either logout/login, remove and re-add the applet to the panel or do

> killall gnome-panel
(which restarts the panel).

Source .svg image is included in the package. SVG source was created in
Inkscape and includes multiple layers:
1) layer with icons
2) layer with rectangles for exporting icons
