Description: This is just a picture that you can move around your desktop. It might sound dumb, but it's cool if you like Gentoo or want to edit it to show something that you like (which is what I did). It looks ok, but it could be better.
This reminds me of the karamba vent theme released back in april or may. Kinda funny, but doesn't do much. Interesting project either way, try adding some options to it like highlight on mouse over or something..

Actually that's what gave me the idea, my work is actually derived from the vent. I thought that "I'm more proud of Gentoo than I am of a vent."
Yeah, those edges are pretty rough. I tried my best, I'm not very good with The GIMP. Pretty good for my first try though, eh?
P.S. Thanks for the positive quotes. It would really boost my self esteem if you voted this up.
I have my my wallpapers cycling too, and the "Powered by" and "Linux" dissapear often. I think it still looks alright. If anyone makes a better one or fixes this up, be sure to post it somewhere!
Nice enthusiasm! I can appreciate that.. I'll vote you up. =c)
If you want some highlight code, look at iLaunch for some hints on it as I used it for the icons highlighting on mouse overs.
Gimp is kinda tricky if you're more of a coder.. in fact I'm still toying with it to figure it out a bit more. Good Luck!

Thanks man. Just so you know, I consider you the king of KDE-Look. And I've never had any luck with ilaunch. It sounded like a really good idea though.
Yeah, I was a lazy bum and never gotting around to writting these two lines of script :)
But I now have a way of putting my girlfriend's picture on my desktop and moving it around where I can see it ;)
Strangly useful indeed.

The other problem is that the text is white. If you have your wallpaper cycling like I do, you might be moving that sucker around a lot.

Problems with iLaunch? Please let me know what didn't work so I can fix it. Thanks for the compliment btw! -p0z3r

I like it, but the edges of "gentoo" are rough and need some smoothing. :)
I really like this. Now I can turn any wallpaper into a wallpaper for whatever my current distro is every month. ;)
