For the discerning (or demented) mandrake 10.1 users, here are rpms of bitwits weird but wonderful GL-Win-Deco.

Runs smoothly on my laptop, but the code is VERY experimental, and may cause system unstability. You have been warned

you run it on a laptop ? what video hw ? how much ram ? cpu speed ? need some input, how much load on your system ? any odd behavior ?
I've got it running on my laptop. It's a Medion 41017, with an Athlon 2200+, 512MB RAM (but 32 of that taken by UMA video) and using the built-in Savage DDR video (about TNT2-M64 speeds). I'm using x.org 6.8.1 on Mandrake 10.1, and direct rendering is enabled and working. Resolution is 1024x768x24bpp. It works fine. It doesn't slow things down too much. I get about 5% CPU usage when my mouse is over a titlebar (the rest of the time the images in the titlebar are stable). The main problem is that the cursor goes "under" the window decoration, so it's hard to tell sometimes whether you're moving or resizing a window. I'm using a custom cursor (RevRedux2) which could be part of the problem. Other than that, the only problem is that it's a very ugly win deco. :)
cursor under decos ? haven't seen that on the dev box. I would suspect the custom cursor code. I know it's ugly and annoying but I've got a wavey toy that looks much smoother. > GLOcean < comming soon.
tnx for the post are you going to update the screen shot ? nice desktop btw.
