Description: Whaqt I'm looking for is a trash applet for the panel that will allow me to drag/drop stuff into the trash. What I do right now is just put a directory link, but the Icon doesnt update when there is/isnt trash in the directory, and I can't empty the trash. Can someone please do this?
a healthy argument never hurt anyone. come on maitre, the trash applet would be most welcome.
Anyhow let this matter be resolved once and for all. kde-look doesn't mean justartwork, but also all UI related stuff.
All in favour say aye!!
This isn't the first time, and i doubt whehter it will be the last.
Some time back I remember having an argument about whether 'look' in kde-look represented UI design or merely artwork. We finally never agreed on anything, but the fact that from time to time ppl do post offtopic here regarding the UI is that to the end user, this seems a logical place to post, even though for us regulars it isn't.
Maybe this site should have a link saying Feature requests plz post here kind of thing? Then newbies know that there is a place specifically like for stuff.
Also I think kde.org as such could use a little rewamping. Nothing wrong with the existing design I mean it has all the links, but there are better ways to present stuff. For that matter I really like kde-look.org site's design better with its organisation for different stuff. But then kde.org has so much information and so many links to present to that it may be difficult to organise it in the same way.
There are a lot of holes in my reasoning. But I think, I am getting the point across?
And no i am not trolling. This is simply an expression of my humble opinion. You are free to disagree, and I would really like to hear ur opinion.
Of course this is also totally offtopic :-)
That would be very useful and it should be done that way. You should be able to just drag the trash can there on the panel.
Another reeeeaaaaallllllly cool thing I wish KDE had was GNOME's drawers with full drag and drop and ofcourse the exact same feel and effects too. That is probably on my top 10 for GNOME, and right next to embelms support another awesome feature.

Go to http://bugs.kde.org, non art related wishes are off topic on kdelook.org.

Not off topic, this is a request for a KDE improvement.
I agree with u. But there are some ppl who don't.
I just started working on that two days ago - must wait for finals to end tho... :) -maitre
