Description: This theme is a mod of Elegant One, by Dzakusek (which was also a mod of Black-White, by Lyrae). When I saw Glossy Fall, created by Crimesaucer, I fell in love with the colors and decided I just had to apply them to the Elegant concept. Red and blue would be my master inspirations. After some more personal changes, I came out with what I decided to call Elegant Brit. I hope you enjoy it.
The Metacity version was based on the Alessandro theme. I built it in order to follow the layout of its Emerald equivalent, that is, the title is on the right (the buttons' position is regulated on Gconf; in this theme's logic, they'd stay in the left). If you want to change the title position to the center, please follow the instructions on the Metacity XML file. However, if you have any doubts, please don't hesitate and contact me. I'll be pleased to help. I hope you like it, and if you don't, make suggestions!
The package includes a GTK theme, a Metacity theme, a PNG icon for the main menu (if you want) and a userChrome.css (copy it to the "chrome" folders of both .mozilla and mozilla-thunderbird folders under your $HOME).
The link to the Emerald theme is below. I separated them in this new edition in order to put each element of the theme in its correct category.
I'm open and very receptive to any opinions, comments and suggestions.
TO DO: Fix Sonata bug (white on white song title when hovered); Fix Sunbird bug (crashing altogether with Elegant Brit enabled); Fix NetBeans bug (unreadable menu titles).
I'll appreciate all help I can get. I'm facing some hard situations in my personal life, thus the lack of updates. I'm still researching in order to achieve the above goals.

But why you don't continue this good work ? In Java-Applications the Menu is white font on white background... and i don't know how to solve it :-(
I am so new to this and need help. How do I install this theme? I am running Ubuntu 10.04 on my computer. I have tried installing by drag and drop of the downloaded file to the theme manager, but it only changes the controls and window border and font....but not the icons and layout like in the pictures. please help!
Looks great except for the gimp bug, and when the top of a selected tab runs up directly against the bottom of the menubar... thus causing the red in the elements to merge... as happens in an EmpathyIM tabbed-chat window.

Simply the best theme I've ever come across. I've been using it for awhile under GNOME, and I'm dying for someone to port it to a Windows Visual Style as well so I can still get Elegant Brit when I'm stuck using XP!
I also have the same problem, the text displayed in cpu frequency gnome applet is unreadable (it is in black text color). Also in monodevelop when going to the preferences it is unreadable too.
By refering the code in theme 'Dust', I 've just fixed this problem by adding the following code at last:

when i change the background of the gnome panel, the background of the menu bar (applications, system, ...), the weather and other panel applets remain the same color (html color background : #262729). I have made an screenshot of my problem : http://oxoty.free.fr/pbmenu.png
so how can I make my menu bar and the other applets at the same color as the other panel color ?

hi, I really like your theme! But there is a bug for 'CPU Freqency Monitor Applet' in GNOME, The text on this applet can not be displayed.
