Hi, I'm kinda new to Gnome (I've used KDE for a long time), and I was wondering what the Kicker-like pannel on the bottom you've got going is. I've seen several other people with it, and now I'm really curious.
cool theme!
Hi , good work! i think your theme is great for usability and elegance (only clearlooks is comparable). Only a trouble: the look of the lines under the toolbars... example: http://img144.echo.cx/img144/4391/immagine27de.jpg http://img144.echo.cx/img144/2470/immagine11xo.jpg why are they white? is it possible to fix the problem? thank you
can pls someone tell me what font is used in the screenshot above? many thanks
This is 'URW Gothic L' font
This theme is almost perfect in my eyes, except one little problem that all skinned panel themes have: the dreaded notification area. I'm not even certain if there is a way to fix it so it doesn't look out of place. Anyways, amazing work. Typically when I change themes it lasts for about a day then I go back to bluecurve, your theme is the exception.
devel simply needs to make the notification area skinnable like the other applets.
Where do you get teh svg engine from?
The svg engine is distributed with librsvg I've got debian version (2.8.1).
http://librsvg.sourceforge.net
most distros install it by default. /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.4.0/engines/libsvg.so At least, I've never had to install it after a new install.
I like this alot. Only the little lines under the toolbars are a bit disturbing. It is possible to remove them? http://vern.chem.tu-berlin.de/~stephan/ana-thin-line.png Thank you.
thanks! but these lines have to stay there, it's about usability.
This is an awesome theme, i really love it! As of this version contrast is really crisp, much better than before. It's only a bit slow on my machine. Rob
yeah, sweet touchup!
thanks! I'm sill waiting for librsvg to be optimized (fassssterr!)
Is the performance hit only noticable on older machines?....because I don't see a diff between svg and pixmap engines. Athlon XP1900+, 512MB ram, GF4MX440 64MB AGP.
Got some messages from users owning ~1GHz CPU based x86 boxes, having redrawing problems. Got no problems with my Athlon 2400@2800 of course, but also have not any redrawing problems with my 333MHz UltraSparcII/2MB L2, 256MB RAM!
hmmm...wouldn't let me reply above. Guess we reached the limit. I was just saying that there were now 4 wallpapers in the tarball but now I added a purple so there's 5. http://kernow-webhosting.com/~bvc/theme/wallpaper/waves-Ana.tar.gz
cute, really :)
Good job! Congratulations! I have a small problem thoug. The arrow buttons in firefox are fubared: http://www.informatik.hu-berlin.de/~hristov/delme/firefox_toolbar.png Keep the good work!
Thank you, but don't know what to say, I use the Firefox browser and don't have such a problem.
>I liked the old text colors which ones, prelighted? I didn't change anything else in text (I think ;)) >Why did you comment the panel out of the gtkrc? Promlems? No it worked fine, but not with vertical panels :(
yes, just the prelight. This is what I've currently using but I haven't taken the time to match it to the icons, which was my intent. fg[PRELIGHT] = "#4d68a6" none of my panelbg's go with vertical panels either. It's up to the end user to turn and flip them. I don't use them and see few that do. Anyone can flip an image. I love your panelbg, so I use it.
