I'd like to thank both the authors of the original two themes.
If you vote negative, please tell me what could be improved.

Update: I changed the panel bar button colors. They are now black until you highlight them.

I installed the theme and it says it was installed successfully, but a question mark appears over the preview, and when I activate the theme everything becomes a dull grey color. Any suggestions? I really like this theme and wish I could get it working.
It's probably a theme engine problem. It uses the Ubuntu-Looks theme engine. I updated to a new version of this theme today. I wish I would have seen this post earlier, but I really forgot about this theme.
This is the window when i take: System/turn off http://pici.se/pictures/PzYojRbYJ.jpg dont look good at my place - probably ubuntu users dont see this bug. Im using foresight with Gnome. Ubuntu got custom dialog, Foresight is using the original dialog from Gnome its coming from orangelinstaplastic theme as you use it, so you also use their bug :) So my vote is negative, because its not tested on a original Gnome.
Wow, sorry about that. I never messed with any other Gnome distro before though.
how do i get the transparent menus??? i have just recently installed gnome-color-chooser, but it doesn't allow me to set tranparencies like i remember it being able to do the last time i used it.
You need to use Compiz Fuzion. Got to General under Advanced Desktop Effects Settings then go to opacity settings. Add a new entry and name it dock. For the value set it at about 80 or 85. Then add an entry called dropdownmenu and use the same value you used for dock. Finally add an entry called popupmenu and use the same value. You now have nice transparent panel bars and menus. You can later edit the values to what you prefer.
yeah i finally figured it out. i never really played with the opacity settings before. thanks alot!
all this does is not make the menus show up? any other solutions.....
I think you did a really good job with this one. Unlike many of the other dark themes I've tries, this one doesn't make EVERYTHING dark. Firefox and Open Office, for example, aren't messed up by the theme. The only flaws I've seen so far have been when I try to edit the properties on a taskbar icon. The display there is kind of difficult to read. And the search history window that comes up when you click a entry box in Firefox is very black. Aside from that, its excellent.
I agree with your comments. Very nice theme except for those flaws! Also, I'm not sure if this is a bug or not, but in the menus, example, Gnome-menu, the icons aren't wholly in the whiteish band, but a bit out. Is it meant to be like this?
The drop-down lists that appear in, say the Firefox search bar, appear black (or dark at the least). As a result, it is very difficult to read the text.
Hmm...I just changed Firefox's theme from the default to Aquatint Black Gloss. Now the drop-down boxes seems alright - they have a white background in which I can clearly see the black text.
There is a fix for this on the Ubuntu forums. I never use the default theme though so it has never been a problem for me. I'm glad you like it.
I like it, but it would be greater if buttons were rounded and not like an square. Anyway, awesome work ;)
Thanks. I like square buttons myself.
