Description: This theme is a mod of the Overglossed theme by TheRob that I have given it an even darker look. Please let me know what your thoughts are, good or bad so that i can improve upon the original for future editions. All credits should go to TheRob for creating the original theme, I hope you enjoy this modification.

Yes this is a very common problem with virtually all dark themes. Apparently the people at open office are working on it and expect to have removed that bug by about this time next year (ubuntu 10.4) quite a wait though still i admit. Unfortunately there is no way to get it looking exactly how it would in a light theme however you can get some buttons with a bit of fiddling in the prefernces, you'll just have to set the icons to high-contrast. Once in OpenOffice go Tools>Options>view and change the icons there.
Best of luck,
James
Hi Whipo, i always welcome criticism (how else can we improve) i would appreciate it if you could tell me which parts in particular you object to or how you personally would have approached this theme differently.

I think your off to a great start.... also knowing and being willing to do additional work shows character.
I think its great the way it is with the exception of two things. The progress bar and the scrollbar. Black on black makes things hard to see. I often have to squint to see where the bar is on the scrollbar so I can move it.... maybe a little bit of lighter color might help with this... dunno. Its the same with the progress bar.
My two cents.... keep up the good work.
Looks a little plastic, but off to a great start. Check out Neutronium DeepBlack for some ideas on how to smooth it out. Can't wait to see this thing develop!
Thanks, yes im aware that there still needs to be alot of work done to it, still its all good fun, just got to iron out those wrinkles. Thanks for the link im checking it out now.

Hi, congrats, great theme. But, how to make OpenOffice.org fits in it? I have no icons at all, only text :(

...IMHO the original Overglossed-Theme is beautifuller with the blue. Not only black. Greetz, GabberGmbH
