The GDM theme looks really nice and all, but I see no easy way to change it. Can someone explain how or point me to an article that explains how?
It's not quite the same as the Elegant Brit GTK panel colour. I eyedropped the colour from the free as in beauty wallpapers and bucket filled the brit-waves wallpaper's grey bit in GIMP. This seems to match the colour of the top bar. Should be easy enough to replicate, or i can post the png if you want to take a look. Apart from that? Simple, striking and effective, like the GTK theme, but great for those (like me) who found Free as in beauty wallpapers to be a little too blocky. Minor hiccups aside, I don't see why we need to be imitating Mac / Windows themes any more.
it's a nice theme. I would recommend using a tar.gz archive format instead of tar.bz2, that way users can use the "Add" button in gdmsetup to install directly from the archive. Converting from bzip2 to gzip by using file-roller's "Save as" feature worked for me.
fantastic job! just one little thing. it always sais that caps lock is on, despite my capsy is off :)
fixed =)
After entering username, the top label stills asks for username instead of password. Excelent work ;)
I'll fix this bug, as soon, as i can. And now i have some plans about new themes, based on this, what will be included in same archive.
Nice, I like it! Good work!
I like your GDM theme a lot. I was thinking about creating a second version, and I tried to look into your SVG file, but for some reason it isn't loading correctly. When opening it on Inkscape, all I can see is the dark blue background and the buttons. Anyway, I like the way you applied the Elegant Brit look. I'll come with another version of it soon. Congratulations!
I think, i forget to "show" layers. Open SVG and press CTRL-SHIFT-L to see layers. After that press eye-buttons in the left of they. So, you can see table =) PS: there is no "waves" in SVG, because i've planned to make wave-bg before starting GDM theme.
Thanks!
