Guys, It's just a wallpaper... Why complaining? If you don't like it, don't use it... After all, let's stay friendly to eachother... no war in Linuxland... GreetZ
I second what you just said.
silcndrgn. I think he hit the nail on te head. GNU is also showing the finger kind of at himself. He is also next to a bomb as if he will explode and only MS will be left or it will class.
Ironic that you should be complaining, as youre latest post is a wallpaper of a giant tux wiedling a rocket launcher with an anti-windows logo on it.
the "message" is bad, i agree he didn't make it, so don't whine on him i think it's incredibly hard to make such a wallpaper, and i like how the baby is done for me, this is art. it might not be *good* for gnu, but it's art.
i think so too, this is not the image that we want people to think of when they think of GNU, and by the way, GNU isn't a baby any more :-p
Both of you guys need to learn to chill out. First of all, he didnt draw it, as he stated. Secondly, people who want to use Linux profesionally dont visit kde-look.org, I *somehow* suspect. Thirdly, sweetangela78 - you have made precisely NO contributions to this website, and are therefore in no position to complain.
Aside from the obvious matters of making GNU look bad, this looks more like a Microsoft FUD ad than anything else. You have the Windows logo and trademarks prominantly displayed in clear, crisp, crystal-esque form. In the front, you have a stupid, ugly, rude, and dirty child giving the finger with the Linux mascott on his clothing. The message is clear: Windows is mature and intelligent while GNU is childish and ignorant. People like you seem to miss the whole point of the open source philosophy. We aren't out to be a bunch of annoying bastards who deface websites and make asses of ourselves. We don't want to be bad asses. We're out to provide a choice. To provide freedom from not only a disaster inducing monopoly (dare I say *hegemony*), but also from political and social oppression. Grow up and get a clue. This is hardly the image I, and most people involved, want representing a subculture that aspires to great things for the benefit of everybody.
I registered just to respond to this mellow dramatic crap. I like Linux, I like windows as well. Guess what? It has nothing to do with my political, social or any other leanings. Chill out a bit and quit being the DRAMA QUEEN :-)
It's stupid and cildish, since GNU world does not behave like an infantile two and a half years old child.
That's GREAT!!!! Make a version in 1280x1024 PLEASE!!!!!!!!
