You are right... the place is called Cochin. There is a hotel by the name "Taj Malabar". Perhaps you stayed there (Or is that the view from Taj Residency? don't remember).
I don't live there.. my parents do, in a village, near Cochin. When were you visiting India/Kerala/cochin?
Yep, that's the hotel I stayed at! I was there last year for business. I had some time to work at a local orphanage and had a lot of fun (although it was sad to see so many orphaned kids).

I keep calling this place Malabar, it's really Cochin, India. I think Malabar was the name of the region.
