
Debian-Bling (Animated Slideshow)

Description:
An Animated Slideshow based on a Wallpaper found in the Net.
Animation:
0. Swirl + letters are grey
1. Swirl gets pink
2. Then one letter after the next gets baby blue
3. Swirl gets baby blue, too
4. And then Swirl + letter get grey
And then from beginning again.
Requirements:
You need a patched libgnome-bg to be able to use the slideshow, you can get it by:
installing Fedora 8
grabbing the patches from Fedoras Source RPMs
or installing Gnome 2.21.4 (or newer)
Installation:
If you have a patched libgnome-bg then
- unpack the tarball
- copy the folder to /usr/share/backgrounds/
- copy the xml file to /usr/share/gnome-background-properties/
- then choose the slideshow as background

I am having the issue os it not working here either, I have followed you instruction to the letter, still no luck, and my console output is too long to post, over 4000 lines. Is there something that is missing? It shows the image in the settings window, but does not apply the wallpapers.
I followed your instructions in f9 and it does not work
run this within a console and post the output, perhaps I'll find the error: gnome-appearance-properties ... so you put the debian-bling folder inside /usr/share/backgrounds/ and the desktop-backgrounds-debbling.xml inside /usr/share/gnome-background-properties?
