I DID NOT CREATE THIS IMAGE TO STIR UNREST OR HARSH FEELINGS TOWARDS ANYONE. I CREATED IT S A MEMORIAL WORK OF ART. AS A WITNESS TO THE EVENTS THAT UNFOLDED BEFORE MY OWN EYES ON THAT HORRIBLE DAY I DON'T EVER WANT TO FORGET WHY OUR SOLDIERS FIGHT FOR OUR FREEDOM AND OUR WAY OF LIFE, IT IS OURS AND WE WISH TO HAVE IT REMAIN OURS, FOR ALL OF OUR LIVES. WE FOUGHT TO MAKE THIS NATION FREE AND WE FIGHT TO KEEP IT THAT WAY. HENCE THE SOLDIERS IN THE IMAGE. IF I HAD CREATED AN IMAGE OF BRITISH RED COATS AND AMERICAN MILITIA MEN WOULD YOU BE UP IN ARMS OVER IT AS WELL? WHAT IF I HAD CREATED FRENCH REVOLUTIONIST IMAGES? , OR CIVIL WAR IMAGES FROM "ANY" COUNTRY? IT'S MEANT TO "HONOR THE SOLDIERS" AND WHY THEY FIGHT TO KEEP THEIR COUNTRY SAFE FROM ANY AND ALL HARM BOTH FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC! ENOUGH ALREADY!

Apropos for killing a nation (Iraq).
hank you for your opinion. Of course it is not a criticism on the quality of the art, but rather on the political statement you feel it represents. I was asked to make a memorial because September 11th, a US national holiday is coming. I did not advocate any atrocities performed by any country at any time in history. I certainly did not advocate the war in Iraq. Our soldiers ( as well as those of many other countries ) are risking their lives in Afganistan, and still looking for Osama Bin Laden. We should not forget why they are there.
