I have been using debian almost since i started linux. I have tried several other distros (redhat, mandrake, slackware, etc) and knoppix I like, but still, in my opinion nothing compares to debian. But people do have their choices and I have nothing against other distros although I choose not to use them.
Debian is a great distro, but a little difficult to get installed. I suggest using Knoppix Live CD and do a HD install. I have been using it on my spare box and it seems to be a little faster than my Mandrake 9.0 and more stable. I appreciate this wallpaper and the choice to use which ever distro I choose.

I think debian is the most stable distribution available. So don´t fool around. tuxedo
